Deerland Enzymes, Kennesaw, GA, an international enzyme and probiotic-based dietary supplement formulator and contract manufacturer, has added several new positions within the company.
Gina Labellarte has been named the company’s research and development manager and will report to the VP of technology, Dr. John Deaton. “Gina will be a ‘hands-on’ leader of the company’s R&D efforts, including clinical studies and development of prototypes for new product innovations,” said Dr. Deaton. Ms. Labellarte holds a Master of Science degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse.
Carol Maeder has been hired to the position of human resources manager and will report directly to the CEO, Scott Ravech. Ms. Maeder brings nearly 20 years of experience to the newly created position of human resources manager. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Tulsa, and has worked in the human resources capacity for large corporations such as Home Depot, Delta Airlines and Ford Motor Co.
The company has also announced the addition of two inside sales representatives, Nick Walton and Sarah Garcia. Both will provide direct support to the company’s sales team in serving customers domestically and abroad, and will report to VP of sales, Tod Burgess. Ms. Garcia will focus on international accounts, while Mr. Walton will serve mainly domestic customers.
