DianaPlantSciences, Portland, OR, has hired Darren Gilbert as its business development manager for North America. His responsibilities will include sales and marketing along with developing strategic alliances within the personal care and nutraceutical industries. A primary emphasis will be to introduce ingredients, such as the company’s Cocovanol Cocoa Powder, which is produced from plant cell culture technology—a sustainable, non-GMO method for producing whole-cell plant actives. Mr. Gilbert has been involved with specialty chemicals for almost 30 years and with the personal care industry for more than 20 years. His prior experiences include distributor management, new business development, product development and sales management.
