A new book titled Successful Superfruit Strategy: How to Build a Superfruit Business, written by Karl Crawford, of HortResearch, and Julian Mellentin, editor of New Nutrition Business, is now available as a practical “how-to” guide for food and beverage marketers; research and development managers; fruit growers, processors and marketers; and ingredient manufacturers. Available from Woodhead Publishing, the book’s “Six elements for Superfruit Success” covers topics such as fruit quality, science, marketing, intellectual property protection and the broader consumer environment. The authors examine superfruit strategies for beverages, fresh fruit and ingredient sectors while looking at current and would-be superfruits through a number of detailed case studies.
