A new report has been published, which guides the nutritional product industry through the complex mix of European and national regulations. Now in its 4th edition, the publication, titled “Marketing Food Supplements, Fortified and Functional Foods in Europe 2005” provides an overview of the many new rules and changes in national food supplement and functional food regulations following the implementation of the EU Directive on food supplements and the ongoing discussions on the development of pan-EU rules on fortified foods and health claims. This 190-page report is published by European Advisory Services (EAS), a Brussels, Belgium-based consultancy to the food industry.
