Job Description:
The Executive Director of Product Development will lead all aspects of Product Development including: product and business concepts, development and commercialization, reformulations and line extensions, margin enhancement, outsourced clinical trials, research and claims, and regulatory compliance and partner with the EVP, Brand Management and senior leadership to drive a strategic product agenda that calls for significant growth. You will manage the Product Development Team, the Healthy Directions doctor relationships related to product formulations, and relationships with key ingredient and manufacturing vendors. You will also support existing business, while developing future growth through strong visionary skills.

1. 10+ years in product and business development for the consumer market with extensive product development experience in the vitamin and supplement industry. Experience in IP management, strategic development and marketing a plus.
2. Experience with a large, best-in-class consumer products company that operates a high SKU count business, and have a track record of taking on roles of increasing responsibility, managing teams, and driving or accelerating profitable, top-line growth.
3. Creativity and keen commercial acumen needed to develop opportunities within sector; demonstrated strategic planning skills and analytical approach to business planning; ability to perform detailed cost analyses and superior project management.
4. A personal style that is entrepreneurial, flexible, focused on results, oriented toward accomplishment of team goals, and characterized by a palpable sense of urgency, someone with high drive and low ego, unquestioned ethics and values-based leadership.
5. Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills, along with a strong aptitude to work with and manage within cross-functional teams; a team player who puts the interests of customers and the organization first.
6. Outstanding people skills to lead, teach, and drive positive change. He or she should thrive in a culture that is entrepreneurial, non-political, positive, and passionate about the wellness mission.
7. Bachelor’s Degree, advanced related degree preferred.
8. Willing to travel approximately 20%.
