Evo Hemp has partnered with Forest Coffee Trading Co., a direct trade coffee roasting company located in Denver, CO, to offer a new cold brew coffee with a functional twist. CBD Cold Brew uses coffee beans sourced from a micro-lot producer in Northern Thailand and is then combined with 15 mg of Native American grown Evo Hemp CBD extract in each 12 oz. bottle. The coffee expresses nuances of cocoa and dark berry, according to the companies.
"Good ideas start with great coffee," said Evo Hemp President Ari Sherman. "This indigenous collaboration takes you from the Pine Ridge Reservation of South Dakota to the Chiang Rai Province of Thailand where small, independent coffee farmers meticulously maintain their micro-lots and hand pick every coffee berry."
Forest Coffee Trading Co sources its coffee beans from producer partners in Chiang Rai Province, Thailand’s northernmost province bordering Laos and Myanmar. They carefully select from the top producing micro-lots in the Phahi Village. After de-pulping and minimal fermentation, the coffee beans are semi-washed then dried on elevated bamboo platforms, which protect the beans from dust and debris to ensure the highest quality possible. Once the coffee is dried, it is hand sorted, removing all defective beans, and shipped directly to the roasting facility in Denver.
This effort is part of Evo Hemp's recently announced brand partnership initiative, which includes collaborations with Honeydrop Lemonade, The Feels Carob Bites, and Defiance Fuel Water. Each product includes Evo Hemp CBD produced by the Native Americans of the Pine Ridge Reservation and utilizes Evo Hemp Lab's proprietary technology for producing water-soluble, full-spectrum hemp extracts in a liquid and powder form.
"The focus of these partnerships is to combine our indigenous hemp extracts with our favorite products and brands, utilizing our proprietary Evo Hemp Infusion Technology," said Sherman. "This will help grow our mission of providing high paying agricultural jobs to Native American tribes."
