Jiaherb Inc., which claims to be China’s largest herbal extract manufacturer, has received organic certifications under the U.S. National Organic Program (NOP 7 CFR Part 205) for its facilities located in Xi’an. This certification and necessary evaluations were performed by BCS Oko-Garantie GmbH. In an effort to address the increasing global demand for organic products, Jiaherb Inc. has added more than 70 certified organic extracts to its sizeable line of more than 400 ingredients.
“The addition of organic ingredients allows us to better serve our existing and future customers by enhancing and extending our ever-growing ingredient solutions portfolio,” said Chris Oesterheld, assistant vice president. “Taking the initiative to certify our facilities through the USDA National Organic Program as well as the EU Organic Program, confirms that our manufacturing procedures are compliant with the NOP and assures our clients that the organic ingredients we produce are free of pesticides, herbicides and synthetic fertilizers.”
