Teavana Craft Iced Tea—produced, bottled, distributed, and marketed through a collaboration between Starbucks and Anheuser-Busch—has introduced a new sparkling ready-to-drink (RTD) iced tea beverage.
The new product line will first be regionally available in select Northeast and Midwest grocery stores in the U.S., with plans for national distribution in 2019. Consumers can pick from two flavors, Blackberry Lime Green Tea and Unsweetened Peach Nectarine Green Tea. Teavana Sparkling Craft Iced Teas join the Teavana Craft Iced Tea portfolio that also includes six sweetened and unsweetened still flavors, which are available nationwide.
The addition of sparkling iced teas to the RTD Teavana Craft Iced Tea line comes as consumer interest in sparkling beverages is on the rise. The sparkling water category alone saw overall sales revenue increase by 16.1% over the course of one year, according to IRI data. The bubbly iced teas are brewed from quality teas and botanicals with no artificial flavors.
