Bionorica, San Clemente, CA, has received the American Botanical Council’s Varro E. Tyler Commercial Investment in Phytomedicinal Research award. Named after the botanical expert and former dean of the college of pharmacy at Purdue University, the award honors Bionorica’s innovative research in plant-based remedies with the use of modern technologies.
“We are very pleased to receive this award from ABC,” said professor Michael Popp, third generation CEO of the 75-year-old German company. “Bionorica’s mission is to combine the best people with the best of nature for overall health. We offer good health from nature, backed by the latest and most rigorous science. Our directive is to support plant-based products with controlled double-blind studies, and Bionorica products have been used for decades with no history of serious side effects.”
Bionorica’s products are developed using the company’s unique phytoneering approach to plant-based remedies, which includes selection of plants with the strongest healing properties, control of production from seed to bottle, and clinical research to determine product efficacy and safety with more than 400 universities.
Its flagship brands, Sinupret Adult and Sinupret for Kids, which is recommended for children age two and up, promote healthy sinus, respiratory and immune function and support the body’s overall health, according to the company.
