Bioiberica is gearing up to commemorate its 25th year of research, development, and business within the animal health and nutrition sector. The year-long anniversary celebrations will begin at the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), the world’s largest annual poultry, egg, meat, and animal food industry in the U.S.
The company will also have a presence at Interzoo and Eurotier in Germany, where it will highlight its technical expertise and contributions to scientific research.
“We take immense pride in the contributions we’ve made to support our partners in animal health and nutrition,” said Victor Beneito, animal nutrition business unit director at Bioiberica. “Through substantial investments in research, ingredient developments and strategic collaborations with some of the world’s leading brands, we go beyond providing nutritional support to unlock functional health benefits in livestock, companion animals and aquaculture. In the last five years alone, we’ve published more than 50 scientific papers, abstracts and presentations, and collaborated with 30-plus research centers worldwide. One highlight has been the discovery of bioactive peptides in our Palbio proteins which promote intestinal cell proliferation and positively modulate microbiome composition, explaining the direct impact this product has on animal health and performance.”
The company’s flagship ingredients, Palbio hydrolyzed proteins and Nucleoforce free nucleotides both are suitable for animal health applications. Palbio is a source of high-quality protein which can support intestinal and immune health in young livestock, while Nucleofoce targets immunity and intestinal health by delivering a high concentration of nucleotides specifically designed for each animal species.
Bioiberica also offers ingredients for joint health, immunity, and skin health for the functional pet food market, such as Mobilee, Collavant n2, CSbioactive, Nucleoforce Pets, and Dermial Vet.
As Bioiberica looks to the future of animal nutrition and life sciences, sustainability will be in focus, the company reported. The company is targeting a 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and climate neutrality by 2050, which will be supported by the company’s circular economy model and ability to monitor and adjust its sustainability key performance indicators.
“We’re really excited about the future of animal health and our part in it. Aside from the aspiring sustainability goals we’ve set ourselves, we continue to invest heavily in research and product development to break down barriers to progress and elevate our offering to the market. We already have some interesting scientific studies underway that are set to complete this year, and plans to expand our Nucleoforce portfolio and pet food line. So watch this space for updates,” said Xavier Garcia, director of Bioiberica’s animal health and plant health business units.
