Artemis International, which supplies its Berryceutical branded ingredients, has introduced its first ingredient formulated specifically for food and beverage applications.
Responding to increased demand for foods and beverages with healthy add-ins, BerryActiv5 provides a convenient solution to deliver the benefits of berry phytonutrients, the company said.
BerryActiv5 is a nutraceutical ingredient formulated from five nutrient-rich berries: aronia, blueberry, cranberry, cherry, and elderberry.
Studies continue to demonstrate that aronia bolsters heart health, blueberry supports brain and cognitive function, cranberry helps with urinary tract and digestive health, cherry aids exercise recovery, and elderberry supports immune function, Artemis noted.
