Nutrasource Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Services, a certification and testing company for the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical industries, recently completed a 3,000 square foot expansion of its main facility in Guelph, Ontario to meet growing demand for ingredient and product certification. Following an expansion in late 2020, this new space brings in 7 new offices, 10 workstations, a boardroom, and a significant upgrade to the sample processing room, which will be triple the size of the previous processing lab area.
“Throughout this pandemic, our team has remained ‘Nutrastrong’ and intact,” Will Rowe, president and CEO of Nutrasource, said. “In fact, we grew our staffing compliment during this time. Even with the uncertainties we are still facing, we continue to grow and expand our teams, tools, and infrastructure to support our global clientele.”
The company’s certifications and analytics group offers quality assurance and customer care for all testing requirements through its network of laboratories, to deliver services in the industries of natural health products, functional foods and beverages, and cosmetics, and for government agencies, and academia and research institutions.
“This expansion was something we were looking to do last year, but with Covid, we didn’t know what to expect, and what our workforce would look like” Rowe said. “We are excited to be able to provide a new designated work area for the certifications by Nutrasource department, additional rooms for our clinical trials group and expanded workspace for our staff.”
Nutrasource currently offers certifications for: International Fish Oil Standards (IFOS); International GMO Evaluation and Notification Program (IGEN); International Probiotic Testing Program (IPRO); and International Cannabinoid Analysis Program (ICAP).
