NeoGOS is a non-digestible food ingredient that beneficially affects the host by selectively stimulating the growth and activity of limited number of beneficial bacteria in the colon. Galacto-oligosaccharides are prebiotic fibers made up of a chain of galactose sugars of variable length. NeoGOS is found naturally in human milk; making it safe, effective, and highly tolerable.
NeoGOS also works on the skin by improving moisture, inhibiting water loss, and decreasing erythema and wrinkles on the skin.
NeoGOS is fermented by intestinal microflora and resists gastric acidity, thus stimulating the growth and activity of intestinal bacteria associated with health and wellbeing. NeoGOS are short chain dietary fibers that humans are unable to digest and thus nourish the intestinal lining and create healthy gut flora.
NeoGOS fermentation feeds the microbiome, producing short chain fatty acids, which has been shown to provide benefits to energy, immune regulation and metabolism.
“We’re committed to building our digestive health ingredient portfolio and the NeoGOS is an ideal addition to our growing line of prebiotics,” said Mark Thurston, president of AIDP. “Digestive health continues to be a booming area of growth both on the ingredient side and finished product side. As with all of our ingredients, AIDP’s expertise is focused on both scientifically proven ingredients, as well solving as formulation challenges for our customers.”
“We are very pleased to sign an exclusive distributorship agreement with AIDP in the North American market for NeoGOS, an innovative prebiotic material, and are confident that this collaboration to develop the US and Canadian markets,” said Jay H. Kim, PhD, CEO of Neo Cremar Co. Ltd.
