The International Aloe Science Council (IASC) Board of Directors, Silver Spring, MD, today has appointed Jane Wilson as the IASC interim executive director.
Ms. Wilson brings more than 20 years of experience developing collaborative relationships with industry representatives, trade associations, public health officials, regulatory bodies, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to this role. Throughout her career, Ms. Wilson has in served various positions related to development of policies, standards and certification programs for products such as dietary supplements, including director of standards for NSF International.
"IASC is excited to welcome Jane as its new interim executive director where she will help promote aloe vera and its use in a wide variety of products," said the chair of IASC's Board of Directors, Jeff Barrie, who is also eastern regional sales manager for Aloecorp. "Jane's extensive experience and knowledge will be an immediate asset to the aloe industry and IASC members."
Ms. Wilson replaces Devon Powell who served as the IASC executive director since 2008. The IASC Board of Directors expressed its great appreciation for Mr. Powell's contributions to the organization during his tenure.
