ESM Technologies, manufacturer of NEM and ESC egg-derived wellness ingredients, has hired Mark Cavaliere as its new quality department head based in Carthage, MO.
As the new lead for quality control and quality assurance, Mr. Cavaliere brings with him more than 30 years of manufacturing quality expertise in the natural products and pharmaceutical industries. He has worked with a number of companies with the responsibility to assure quality for raw materials, R&D, operations, supply chain and more. Additionally, Mr. Cavaliere worked at United States Pharmacopeia (USP) as director of GMPs. During his time there he was instrumental in developing and establishing the GMP criteria for USP’s Dietary Supplement Verification Program.
For ESM, he will be one of the key members responsible for advancing the overall quality standards for all materials manufactured, processed and/or warehoused for the U.S. ingredient portfolio.
In his new role, Mr. Cavaliere will ensure compliance of the manufacturing plant to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) for traceability, safe manufacturing, safe handling, and accountability of raw ingredients, in-process materials, and finished products from supplier to customer. He will also manage, develop and train on the quality procedures and maintain quality certifications for ESM.
