Jeff Taylor, with more than 20 years of experience in the food, pharmaceutical and nutritional industries, has joined Life Extension as executive director of product development and will be based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Mr. Taylor and his team are responsible for developing innovative products based on novel ingredients that are scientifically supported by clinical research.
Most recently, Mr. Taylor was the manager of new product development for Capsugel. He was responsible for formulation development for Licaps liquid-based products for the Americas region. Under his direction, he developed a micro-emulsion technology which focuses on improving the bioavailability of poorly soluble compounds and was also responsible for developing capsule in-a capsule technology.
Mr. Taylor has developed products in the sports nutrition, weight loss and digestive-health categories as well as many condition-specific formulations with herbal extracts, amino acids, specialty chemicals and vitamin/mineral ingredients. Mr. Taylor holds a bachelor’s of science degree in botany/biotechnology from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in business administration from Clemson University.
