    In Vitro Study Shows PomElla is Potent Inhibitor of LDL Oxidation

    New in vitro research conducted at the University of Scranton indicates that PomElla, a pomegranate extract supplied by Geni Herbs, displays five times greater antioxidant capacity than either vitamin E or ellagic acid. The study measured the decreases of copper-catalyzed oxidation of LDL+VLDL cholesterol isolated from human plasma by the three antioxidants. It found that the concentration required for inhibition of half the oxidation was about fivefold less for PomElla than for vitamin E or pure ellagic acid.
