Frutarom Switzerland Ltd. has developed EFLA® 920, a green maté extract, which is characterized by a four-fold standardization procedure. Traditional manufacturing of maté includes roasting processes. However, the patented hyperpure process used for EFLA 920 Green Maté Special Extract is virtually free of smoke residues, according to the company. EFLA 920 is intended for use in functional foods, dietary supplements and beverages.
