CP Kelco To Expand
Plans are underway at hydrocolloid producer CP Kelco, Wilmington, DE, to expand its Okmulgee, OK facility. The Okmulgee plant, which occupies 22 acres, is, according to the company, the largest biogum facility in the world. CP Kelco was formed in 2000 by the combination of the Copenhagen Pectin/Food Gums Division of Hercules Incorporated and the Kelco Biopolymers business of the Monsanto Company.
