Bayir Group, Bangalore, India, has launched a new company in the U.S. under the name Bayir Inc. in Wilmington, DE. The new U.S.-based venture will serve as a vertical supplier of qualified nutritional ingredients to serve the diverse needs of the rapidly expanding natural products industry in the US.
"During the past decade, there has been consistent accelerated growth of products with higher nutritional and nutraceutical values; 'natural' is the new normal that consumers clamor for -- in foods, health supplements, beverages, and beauty," observed B.G. Bairy, managing director of Bayir Group,. "The food/drug/mass market and e-tailers continue to make more room to carry natural/nutraceutical products by household-name brands all across the board. This signifies the absolute necessity to provide qualitative, traceable, sustainable raw materials."
Bayir Group owns or operates nine technologically sophisticated facilities that all follow strict best practices such as cGMPs, and are ISO certified. Its specialized businesses include: contract research and manufacturing, granules and tablets/capsules, pharmaceutical intermediates, prescription formulation sales, specialized phytochemicals, botanical extracts and glucosamine and chondroitin. Its ingredients are used worldwide in numerous condition-specific formulas aimed at joint health, weight loss, and many other products addressing consumers' most common health concerns. Bairy asserts that Bayir Group is in the position to reach its goal of being the largest raw producer of both glucosamine and chondroitin in the world by 2020.
According to Frank Wells, business development manager of Bayir Inc., the company has "excellent raw material sourcing and long-term, widespread grower/farmer relationships that assure consistent supply, and our worldwide distribution network ensures timely and efficient delivery. Our key ingredients are backed by dossier submissions and DMF (drug master file) filing in multiple countries. And, as one of India's most prestigious biotechnology companies for more than 30 years, we have attracted an elite team of scientists and technicians to lead research and development efforts."
