Balchem, Slatehill, NY, and Institut Rosell, Montreal, Canada, have recently partnered to supply a stabilized form of encapsulated probiotics. Under terms of the strategic alliance, Balchem applies its proprietary encapsulation technology to probiotic strains from Institut Rosell. The resulting product greatly increases the probiotics’ stability and survival rate (for more information, see the Probiotics article on page 50).
