Mina Kami, regional sales manager for wellness at Acme-Hardesty explained what prebiotics are, how they differ from (and work in concert with) probiotics, as well as potential health benefits of the company’s PrebioM, like improving bowel function, supporting the immune system, and helping manage weight.

PrebioM is an organic acacia gum, a prebiotic that helps feed healthy bacteria in the intestine. According to the company, PrebioM has been clinically proven to: improve digestive health and normalize bowel motility; boost immunity by enhancing vitamin and mineral absorption and inhibiting growth of pathogenic microbes; promote healthy metabolism and support weight loss by reducing hunger and glucose absorption; and reduce glucose and bad cholesterol LDL absorption.

PrebioM contains the highest natural prebiotic content (85-90%) and has a slow fermentation profile, which makes it suitable for people with sensitive gastrointestinal tracts. PrebioM is also certified organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, vegan, sustainable and eco-friendly.
