Bartek Ingredients announced progress on the construction of the world’s largest malic and fumaric acid processing facility. After a groundbreaking in January of this year, the project is slated to be in operation by the end of September 2024.
“We’re proud to confirm that we’re progressing as expected,” said John Burrows, CEO. “We’re really excited to deliver our expanded capacity by next summer, in addition to new capabilities for a variety of new products.”
Bartek said that the new facility is expected to have unprecedented safety, efficiency, and environmental performance measures. It is designed to double the company’s production capacity, and reduce per-unit greenhouse gas emissions by more that 80%.
Throughout the facility’s construction, which is being done through global engineering firm WSP, Bartek said that it would provide more updates.
