Batory Foods, a national distributor of food and fine ingredients, has entered into a partnership with KND Labs, a Lakewood, CO-based producer of hemp-derived cannabinoids. The new agreement will make Batory Foods a CBD distributor to the food and beverage industry.
The CBD food and beverage market is forecasted to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 25% through 2026, according to Imarc Group. According to Batory, the partnership comes at an opportune time to provide safe, consistent, and compliant CBD products to the food and beverage industry, such as infused beverages, snacks, bakery items, and pet treats.
KND produces CBD, CBG, and other cannabinoids in the forms of powdered isolate, distillate oil, or powder water-solubles. The company has two facilities in Lakewood and Avrada, CO, where all hemp is sourced directly from registered growers throughout the U.S. and complies with testing and manufacturing certifications required for the food and beverage industry, Batory Foods reports.
“At Batory Foods, we are continuously looking to identify strategic partners to further expand and diversify our ingredients portfolio, ensuring we are aligned with the growing segments of on-trend functional ingredients throughout the industry,” said Vince Pinneri, president at Batory Foods. “We look forward to a long and mutually successful partnership with KND Labs that will allow us to meet the increased demand for CBD products and provide even more value to customers.”
“Brands make significant investments in their products and reputation, and it is therefore vital to have a supply chain partner that adequately meets those demands,” said Nich Wilson, president of KND Labs. “We are excited to partner with Batory Foods to provide our industry-leading ingredients as their exclusive CBD manufacturer. We’re looking forward to providing ingredient support for a myriad of innovative products to Batory customers around the world.”
