Aker BioMarine’s daughter company, Lang Pharma Nutrition, was awarded a 2021 Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) US Ocean Champion Award for their commitments to ocean health and outstanding efforts beyond the sustainability standards set by MSC. Aker BioMarine was certified in 2010 and became the first krill company to carry the MSC label.

The MSC US Ocean Champion Award is an annual award established in 2017 in order to reward fisheries and companies engaged in the MSC program who demonstrate continued leadership on sustainability beyond the MSC fisheries or Chain of Custody standards, according to Aker BioMarine. Past honorees include Sam’s Club and Whole Foods Market, among others. The custom glass award is hand-made in downtown Seattle, WA.
Lang Pharma Nutrition, Inc. provides over 70 MSC-certified items to retailers globally, and these products are featured with the MSC blue fish label in more than 36,000 stores nationwide.
