The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), a dietary supplement trade association, opened registration for its signature industry events, Science in Session and Now, New, Next. The events this year will take place in person at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, in Dana Point, CA, with virtual options also available. Feature keynote speaker Tieraona Low Dog, MD, will discuss the challenges facing the dietary supplement industry.
“The conversations and connections that move the industry forward happen here,” Steve Mister, CRN president and CEO, said. “Science in Session and Now, New, Next are the dietary supplement industry’s opportunities to explore and address research challenges, to examine the trends and influences shaping this industry, and drive innovation together. Every year, our attendees leave these events enriched, motivated, and inspired.”
Dr. Low Dog will deliver a keynote address for the Science in Session event, taking place on Oct. 19, covering women’s micronutrient needs across the lifespan. The event will continue with a women’s health and nutrition theme, covering topics such as optimizing sleep and weight management, supporting brain and eye health, reducing disease risk in post-menopause, reproductive health, and sex differences relevant to clinical trials.
New, Now, Next will be taking place Oct. 20-22, and will be anchored by sessions that examine disparities in nutrition, the challenges of a changing global economy, and insights for the future of the post-pandemic workplace among other topics. These challenges, along with challenges more unique to the nutraceuticals industry, will be covered in events organized to drive innovation and prepare companies for the future.
“After nearly two years apart, people want to meet and reconnect with colleagues in person,” Maya English, CRN’s director of membership, education, and events, said. “New this year, attendees can participate in CRN’s meeting matchmaking for focused networking by providing demographic details when registering.”
Opportunities for companies to participate in the event are available through Carl Hyland, who can be reached at 202-204-7674 or chyland@crnusa.org.
