Natural herbal products brand Gaia Herbs announced an extension of its black elderberry line with its latest USDA Certified Organic Black Elderberry Tonic. The new product is available on Gaia’s website and will roll out across natural and health food stores nationally throughout this month.
Best known for its organic Black Elderberry Syrup, Gaia launched the Black Elderberry Tonic to utilize a traditional herbal oxymel recipe combined with Black Elderberries for immune support. Oxymels contain both vinegar and raw honey, and have traditionally been used for thousands of years for immune support.
Gaia Herbs’ new Black Elderberry Tonic is made with only four whole-food, organic, non-GMO ingredients – black elderberries, organic raw apple cider vinegar, organic raw honey, and organic acerola, with no artificial preservatives, sweeteners, or added flavors. The elderberries used in the tonic are recognized for high flavonoid and anthocyanin content, and every elderberry is hand-picked, and fresh-pressed shortly after harvest to preserve potency, Gaia Herbs said.
The new Black Elderberry Tonic can be used straight from the spoon, or added into a variety of recipes. Like all Gaia Herbs supplements, the new product is made without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides, and is vegetarian, dairy-, gluten- and soy-free. The tonic contains 3.2 grams of elderberry fruit extract per teaspoon serving.
