Rainbow Light, a developer and manufacturer of vitamins and supplements, has introduced Rainbow Light Vibrance For The First Thousand Days. Based on the latest science of early childhood development, Rainbow Light's new line of non-GMO multivitamins promotes optimal nutrition for mom and baby during the vital period, from conception to year two.

A recent report by the American Academy of Pediatrics emphasized the significant role adequate nutrition plays in a child's physical and neurological development during their first thousand days of life, laying a foundation for long-term health. By age two, a child's brain has grown more than it will at any other time in their life. However, any setback in brain development resulting from malnutrition during this time cannot be recovered in subsequent years. Thus, the nutrients they receive during their first thousand days are pivotal for helping them grow to their fullest potential. Insufficient nutrition during this period has been linked to a number of long-term health and economic challenges.

"The first thousand days of life is a critical time point for development of all of the bodily systems, and studies suggest that nutrition during this time has a long-term impact on the health and well-being of the baby," said Dr. Nicole Avena, neuroscientist, expert in prenatal and early childhood nutrition, and ambassador for Rainbow Light. "Cognitive development and immune functioning, in particular, are sensitive to nutritional status early in life. Rainbow Light's six-phase line of multivitamins ensures that moms-to-be and babies get the right balance of nutrients needed for a healthy start in life, from pre-conception through toddlerhood."

The Rainbow Light Vibrance For The First Thousand Days line features six different multivitamins tailored to meet mom and baby's evolving nutritional needs at each stage of their First Thousand Days journey:

    Preconception Multivitamin:
    • Provides a comprehensive and balanced range of nutrients to prepare moms-to-be for the development of a baby.
    • Supports moms' immune health with vitamin C and zinc.
    • Non-GMO Project Verified.
    Trimester 1 Prenatal Multivitamin:
    • Provides an absorbable form of folate which is important throughout pregnancy to support babies' neural tube health.
    • Helps ease moms' occasional feelings of nausea with a unique ginger extract.
    • Promotes energy in moms with customized levels of B vitamins.
    • Non-GMO Project Verified.
    Trimester 2 Prenatal Multivitamin:
    • Supports the healthy brain development in babies.
    • Helps ease moms' occasional constipation with magnesium.
    • Supports healthy iron levels in moms with a high potency, easily tolerated form of iron.
    • Non-GMO Project Verified.
    Trimester 3 Prenatal Multivitamin:
    • Promotes healthy brain and neural tube development in babies with absorbable folate and choline.
    • Promotes healthy digestion for mom with a specific form of calcium.
    • Non-GMO Project Verified.
    Postnatal Multivitamin:
    • Promotes babies' eye and brain development with lutein. Lutein is concentrated in a part of the retina that develops rapidly in a baby's first year of life.
    • Provides a blend of moringa, organic fenugreek, and organic fennel seed, all traditionally used by breastfeeding mothers.
    • Non-GMO Project Verified.
    NutriStart Plus Multivitamin Powder:
    • Supports healthy nervous system development and bone health in babies.
    • Neutral taste for mixing easily into formula, applesauce, yogurt or cereal.
    • QAI certified organic.
    • Non-GMO Project Verified.
"We are thrilled to build upon Rainbow Light's commitment to women's health with a product line supporting mom and baby's First Thousand Days journey," said Ruben Monheit, general manager of Rainbow Light. "Rainbow Light Vibrance For The First Thousand Days delivers customized nutrition to support the physiological changes that occur in both mom and baby throughout infancy and pregnancy."
