DSM will significantly expand its existing research and development facilities in North America. Located at the company’s North American Headquarters in Parsippany, NJ, the new Nutrition Innovation Center will bring together DSM’s extensive laboratory capabilities for the beverage, bakery, dairy, savory, dietary supplement and personal care market sectors.
The center will combine expertise from two key business groups—DSM Nutritional Products and DSM Food Specialties. As such, the center will further facilitate DSM’s interdisciplinary approach to advancing differentiation through applications, as well as optimizing the valuable support services for its global customers. DSM plans to open the new Nutrition Innovation Center in 2011. This center will house dedicated customer application suites, sensory services and customer application pilot facilities.
Investment in its North American research and development facilities is part of DSM’s overall strategy to provide customers with a global network of on the ground support; integrating proven technical expertise with insight into customer preferences and knowledge of key regional differences.
