Yabon Baby Corporation, Miami, FL, has introduced two new flavors to its Nature’s Child Squeezers line of fruit and vegetable pouches. The new varieties feature green apple with spinach (Lean, Mean Green Apple) and peach with sweet potato (Radical Peach) flavors, and are made with 100% real fruits and vegetables. Nature’s Child Squeezers are high in vitamin C, contain no added sugar and have a 14-month shelf life. With the introduction of the two new Squeezer flavors, Nature's Child now offers a complete range of portable snacks in the fruit, vegetable and dairy categories.
In an independent study conducted by Yabon Baby Corp, 15 sets of parents stated that when it comes to pouches, a combination of fruit and veggies are what they prefer to give their child(ren), and they also determined the most important nutritional factor to be “no added sugar.”
“Yabon continues to promote healthy eating through the development of new products and flavors, and one of our main goals is to demonstrate that kids’ snacks can be both delicious and aligned with doctor’s recommendation on food and diet,” said Lionel Dupin, managing director for Yabon Baby Corporation. “We always try and stay one step ahead of what consumers are looking for in terms of healthy snacking.”
Yabon Baby Corp’s R&D department stated, “when we work on a new fruit and vegetable recipe, we use a vegetable with a sweet taste to obtain a balance and pleasant final taste.” The research team also noted that “adding some vegetable in fruit puree also helps to obtain a better texture because vegetables bring fibers with them.”
