Nutrition21 will be discussing new research findings on its proprietary ingredients, NooLVL and Nitrosigine, at SupplySide West.
Earlier this year, Nutrition21 published a study showing additional cognitive benefits for its stimulant-free pre-workout ingredient, Nitrosigine. The complex of bonded arginine silicate has been clinically studied to increase nitric oxide availability, which is linked to improved vasodilation, blood flow, muscle pump, and mental acuity.
The study evidenced additional cognitive benefits for the ingredient, such as improvements in memory, attention, and processing speed, among other areas.
A new study on NooLVL, which is a patented complex of bonded arginine silicate with a dose of inositol, will also be presented by Nutrition21. In this study, researchers examined healthy adult males and females who received 1600 mg of NooLVL per day for seven days. Each study participant performed an array of computer-based cognitive tests developed by Cambridge Brain Sciences at baseline, on day one after a single dose of NooLVL, and again on day 7 after a week of supplementation. The tests were designed to show how the ingredient influences the cognitive abilities and performance of esports gamers.
“We continue to publish studies to not only include new consumer benefits but also to strengthen our already substantiated claims,” said Katie Emerson, manager of scientific affairs. “We look forward to discussing these new benefits for product developers at this year’s SupplySide West show.”
