Pharmavite LLC, maker of Nature Made vitamins, is expanding its portfolio of women’s health brands by acquiring Bonafide Health, a company that has been on a mission to offer new solutions to menopause management.
Pharmavite’s other women’s health solutions include urinary health brand Uqora (acquired in 2021) and Equelle, a supplement containing S-equol that has been shown to address symptoms related to estrogen decline.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Bonafide Health to Pharmavite. This acquisition positions us as the nation’s leading women’s health nutraceutical company, signaling a new era of innovation and science-based solutions in this underserved space,” said Jeff Boutelle, CEO of Pharmavite. “Bonafide’s unwavering commitment to research, development, and robust scientific evidence mirrors Pharmavite’s rigorous standards, while its deep relationship with healthcare professionals aligns with our goal of ensuring nutrition education is at the forefront of the industry.”
Bonafide Health was founded in 2017 to create a new class of over-the-counter women’s health products that are scientifically formulated and backed by clinical evidence and doctor support.
The company’s six core products—branded as Revaree, Relizen, Ristela, Clairvee, Serenol, and The Silvessa System—focus on delivering long-term, sustainable support for needs that compound with age, including hot flashes, vaginal dryness, vaginal microbiome, sexual satisfaction, and more.
“Our steadfast commitment to science and innovation has allowed us to build something special at Bonafide Health and we’ve been looking for the right partner to grow the business and reach more women that need support. Pharmavite is that partner,” said Michael Satow co-founder and CEO of Bonafide Health.
“Pharmavite deeply understands the importance of the model we’ve built, from the rigorous scientific data that underpins our products, to the power of the work we do with the doctors and other healthcare providers who are having conversations with women across the country looking for better solutions.”
Bonafide will continue to operate out of its current headquarters in Harrison, NY, and there are no workforce implications to the acquisition, according to the companies. Other commercial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
