Dietary supplement company NOW has announced three promotions in its nutritional science department of its label compliance group.
Amy Kosowski, MS, RDN, who joined NOW in 2000, has been promoted to science and regulatory manager. She will oversee the group that includes regulator status evaluation, label compliance, research, new ingredient evaluation, and toxicology. Amy has held every position within the science group and has researched, substantiated, and written structure/function claims and label text. Most recently, Amy held the title of senior nutritionist, label compliance manager, where she used her skills to ensure compliance of labeling at all levels.
Celine Torres-Moon, MD, who joined NOW’s science and regulatory team over a decade ago, has been promoted to senior scientist. During her tenure, she has used research and regulatory expertise to substantiate label and marketing claims, review marketing materials, and evaluate new ingredients. Celine developed technical marketing skills by writing articles, ads, and promotional materials for Protocol for Life Balance, NOW Health Group’s practitioner brand. She has been responsible for maintaining information on NOW and Protocol websites and supporting NOW’s relations with universities and has given training talks.
Kristen McPhee, MS, has been promoted to scientist I. McPhee is an herbalist who joined NOW two years ago as a nutritionist and has used her scientific research and writing skills to substantiate label claims, contribute articles to trade journals, and give training talks. She developed expertise in regulatory review and has taken responsibility for ensuring regulatory compliance of customer reviews and marketing materials.
