BGG World's ApplePhenon apply polyphenol ingredient received Alkemist Assured status, and BGG is now an Alkemist Assured partner. ApplePhenon is extracted from unripe apples, and has a high polyphenol content. The ingredient has undergone clinical research demonstrating seven potential health benefits for humans.
The Alkemist Assured program by Alkemist Labs consists of two tiers. The Next Generation Transparency tier includes regularly updated consumer-friendly certificates of analysis (CoAs) for botanical testing shared with customers and consumers.
The second tier, the Alkemist Assured seal, requires companies to be part of the Next Generation Transparency reporting in addition to a regular schedule of product testing by Alkemist Labs to demonstrate product scrutiny. Companies can use the Alkemist Assured seal on their product marketing materials and websites to show that a product was tested by a third-party lab for identity, potency, and contaminants.
