Ingredient supplier Ashland has launched Nutrapress organic chewable base, designed for chewable dietary supplements. The organic base is a complete system for nutraceuticals manufacturers and contains an organic binder, sweetener, flow aid, and lubricant. Ashland created this innovation with a patent-pending technology which allows for good powder flowability and compressibility, according to the company.
“Consumer demand organic products continues to rise,” Maxine Weber director of marketing for nutraceuticals at Ashland, said. “Replacing conventional ingredients with organic ones can be a challenge. Ashland solvers have developed an organic chewable base system that amplifies the efficacy while refining the usability of our customers’ products to reliably and efficiently produce organic chewable tablets.”
Nutrapress is available in both sugar and sugar-free versions, with both chewable bases in compliance with USDA organic standards, as well as European, Canadian, and Korean organic requirements.
