Tea and botanical ingredients manufacturer Martin Bauer Group has received an organic certification from Quality Assurance International for its newest manufacturing facility in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Martin Bauer Group was founded in 1930, and manufactures a wide range of products sourced from botanical raw material from more than 80 countries.
QAI is one of the leading agencies authorized by the United States Departemnt of Agriculture to certify organic integrity to national and international programs. Its certification process takes place at every step of the supply chain, including farming, post-harvest preparations, and processing and handling facilities which transform the product.
“With the organic certification, Martin Bauer USA is now fully equipped to manufacture and distribute a wide array of organic teas and herbal raw materials for use in high-quality RTDs, as well as specialty products for foodservice,” George Pontiakos, chief operations officer at Martin Bauer USA, said. “It is the result of decades of science and research applied to an exacting transformation process, with one goal in mind: beverages whose flavor is just as authentic and fresh as a real home brew.”
The facility provides a portfolio of tea and herbal ingredients, including strong infusions, a line of Martin Bauer’s higiest-grade teas and botanicals brewed via a unique, gentle process with minimal heat exposure. This allows for the flavor and aromas of the botanicals and teas to be transferred directly to the finished products without the use of concentrates, powders, additives, or sugar.
