BIO-CAT Celebrates 30 Years of Business

As a leading provider of dietary enzymes, the company has experienced significant growth since its inception.

BIO-CAT is celebrating its 30th year in business. “We have come a long way since starting the business 30 years ago,” said Chris Schuler, president, and co-founder. “Our goal from the beginning was to provide high-quality enzymes and exceptional customer service making sure that our customers are taken care of and satisfied. BIO-CAT has grown from a small backyard shed to a sizeable ever-growing facility on 26 acres of land.” Mr. Schuler continued, “We started with a small 20-kilogram blender and this year installed a new 2,300-kilogram blender.”

Since its founding, BIO-CAT has seen tremendous growth. At its inception, the company consisted of a small handful of employees. Today, one-third of its employees have worked with the company for over 10 years or more, and half have been with the company for five years of more.

Notably, BIO-CAT was one of the first wholesale providers of dietary enzymes in the U.S. BIO-CAT was a forerunner in developing enzymes for use in the dietary supplement market and in developing specialized enzymes and enzyme blends to address digestive deficiencies.

Today, BIO-CAT is a fast-growing biotechnology company with capabilities in powder and liquid blending, and a talented and trained team of professionals. For 30 years, the company has dedicated its business to providing innovative support and custom formulations for every customer application. The company claims to be the largest supplier of enzymes and custom enzyme blends to the U.S. dietary supplement industry, and the largest custom blender of enzymes in the U.S.
