In a human clinical study, scientists from Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Poland assessed the consumption and intake of tocotrienols in individuals in Poland1, considering their role as bioactive compounds. Although tocotrienols are naturally present in our diet, this study revealed that relying solely on diet is insufficient. They found that consumption of tocotrienols is extremely low in Poland.
A similar finding was observed in a study conducted in Japan by researchers at Tohuku University2. As compared to the existence of human clinical research, which utilised a dosage for positive effects, these levels of consumption are regarded as low.
This video summarises these studiese on the daily consumption of tocotrienols in the Polish and Japanese population.
