CONNOils, Big Bend, WI, a supplier of the industry's highest nutritional oil content in powdered form, has hired Amber Bennett as its director of sales, western region; Lisa Mack as director of sales, eastern region; and Elizabeth Cambar-Roney as director of international sales.
Ms. Bennett has fifteen years of sales experience, most recently at Virgo, the publisher of Natural Products INSIDER and Food Product Design, where she was strategic account director.
Ms. Cambar-Roney, who can communicate in five languages, brings more than 15 years experience in global business development for the functional foods and dietary supplement industry.
Ms. Mack has spent 20 years as a sales and marketing expert to the consumer packaged goods and health/beauty care industries.
“With the addition of these three well-experienced salespeople, and the move to a new state-of-the-art facility, CONNOils is poised to take our growing business to greater heights,” said Stacy Peterson, the company’s owner and president. “Amber and Lisa, in addition to their years of sales experience, have both worked extensively in marketing. They have positioned organizations for future growth and recognition in the nutritional, health/beauty and food industries.“
Added Ms. Peterson, “With the population growth and improved earnings capacity in international markets, Elizabeth’s years of international sales experience will be instrumental in expanding the business through growing export interest.”
During her thirteen years at Virgo, Ms. Bennett managed and executed a new corporate digital marketing strategy that resulted in increased revenue for the publishing/trade show company. She also successfully managed sales teams for Virgo, which boasts the most popular trade show (SupplySide West) and magazine (INSIDER) pertaining to the raw ingredients market.
“Increasing a company’s profile involves embracing new technology while not forgetting the human relationships involved,” said Ms. Bennett. “Stacy understands that concept, which is why I’m thrilled to join CONNOils.”
Prior to CONNOils, Ms. Cambar-Roney worked as a senior international region manager for National Enzyme Company, a major private label dietary supplement company. During her thirteen years there, she opened and oversaw markets in Spain, Portugal, New Zealand, Australia, and the Middle East. Fittingly, she has extensive experience with dietary supplement registrations and regulations worldwide.
“The world is getting smaller,” said Ms. Cambar-Roney, “but thanks to various rules and regulations regarding supplements, it’s also getting increasingly complicated. My role is to lend clarity and insight into CONNOils’ worldwide strategy. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.”
As the founder of Mack/ASM, Inc., a consumer goods and services sales and marketing agency, Ms. Mack helped companies such as Kraft, Nabisco, and Minute Maid reach their sales and marketing strategies via retail and e-tail strategies.
“The same principles that guided my clients in their decision-making—social media, trend analysis, and other evolutionary thinking—govern the natural products industry,” Ms. Mack said. “Stacy wants to embrace those concepts so that CONNOils can offer more to its clients.”
“It was a long road to find the most qualified individuals for these three positions,” Ms. Peterson said. “I know we made the right hires.”
The new employees will work remotely, but travel regularly for CONNOils. They will also attend industry events. “We are still a people-first company,” Ms. Peterson said. “No matter how big we get—and we are growing every day—that will never change.”
Since 2007, CONNOils has specialized in providing high-quality spray-dried oil powders, essential oils, and custom formulations.
