Health Canada Approves Martek Oil as a Food Ingredient
Health Canada, Ottawa, Ontario, has approved Martek’s (Columbia, MD) DHASCO-T oil for use as a food ingredient. DHASCO-T oil contains the long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid DHA, the key omega 3 fatty acid for brain and eye development and function. The approval is for per serving levels of not less than 8 mg and not more than 100 mg of DHA. Martek’s DHASCO-T oil is a vegetarian DHA from a sustainable, environmental-friendly source.
