Four days after Congress chastised Major League Baseball for its policing of steroids, the Oregon Senate took a step toward keeping steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs away from high school athletes. Senate Bill 6, which would prohibit “school administrators, teachers, employees and volunteers from promoting, suggesting or supplying performance-enhancing supplements to students,” was unanimously passed by the Education and Workforce Committee.
