Indena has launched Oleaselect, a new standardized olive fruit ingredient obtained from the pulp of a selected Italian variety of olive, particularly rich in polyphenols. Water and ethanol are used as the only solvents. Oleaselect contains no less than 1.5% hydroxytyrosol and 5% verbascoside, the polyphenolic compounds that are most important and are reported to be responsible for many of the biochemical and biological effects of the extract.
