Weight Management Beverages

November 1, 2003

Plantextrakt has developed Xlim, a new beverage concept meant to help control overweight. Four product lines are available for the beverage industry, ranging from ready-to-drink (RTD) to instant beverages to loose herbal tea mixtures. Based on green tea extracts, caffeine and catechins are used to increase the body’s basic metabolism. Fibers of fruit tea extracts increase one’s saturation and delay the resorption of nutrients. Vegetable extracts from asparagus and celery have dehydrating and cleansing effects. Lastly, New Water products include mineral waters with extracts and flavors.
