Toray Plastics (America), Inc. has introduced its metallized PET films for food, dairy, lidding, coffee, personal care, pharmaceutical, board lamination and electronic applications. The metallized PET films provide oxygen barrier properties as well as enhanced thermal stability for products that are exposed to high levels of heat during the packaging process.
In other developments, the company has introduced new technologically advanced modified polyester films. Previously produced only in Europe, the PA10 print-grade film and PA20 heat-sealable film are now produced in North America and are FDA compliant for food contact. Ideal for a variety of flexible packaging functions including food, bakery, snack, confection, meat, cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications, the surface modified films provide superior visual and technical performance.
