Galaxy Nutritional Foods, Orlando, FL, has signed a four-year licensing agreement with Tropicana Product Sales, Bradenton, FL. This agreement permits Galaxy to use Tropicana’s logo on the point of sale packaging of its new Ultra Smoothie product, which will be distributed in both food service and retail channels in the U.S. and Canada.
Galaxy Nutritional Foods has also made a move into several international markets. Most recently the company started shipping 10 of its Veggie™ brand dairy alternative products to major supermarkets chains in Australia. The company expects to rapidly increase the number of Veggie brand dairy alternatives once the initial 10 products are in distribution. Additionally, the company has expanded distribution of its Veggy™ Rice™ and Soymage™ dairy alternatives to supermarket chains in the U.K. Lastly, Galaxy has also penetrated the Japanese market with the distribution of its Veggie brand dairy alternatives and expects sales of its products to Japan to exceed $2 million in the first year with an eventual sales potential of over $100 million.
