Central Soya, Paris, France, will become part of a new company called Cereol. The restructuring is the result of Eridania Beghin-Say, Central Soya’s parent company, splitting into four new companies, each concentrating on a separate category of food products and ingredients. Carl Hausmann, president and CEO of Central Soya, will retain this position and become chairman and CEO of Cereol. Cereol will be the new oilseed company, while Beghin-Say will concentrate on sugar-related products, Cerestar will be devoted to starch and starch derivatives and Provimi will concentrate on animal nutrition.
