Probi, Clasado Launch Two New Synbiotic Formulations

The two suppliers are partnering to capitalize on the rapidly-expanding synbiotics market.
At SupplySide West, Probi and Clasado launched two new synbiotic formulations, to capitalize on the growing trend of combination formulas which feature live microorganisms and substrates selectively utilized by those strains to confer health benefits.
The first synbiotic is a combination of Bimuno GOS and Probi Defendum, a combination which is linked to the synergistic enhancement of the production of short-chain fatty acids. Probi Defendum is shown to selectively utilize the prebiotic GOS, which defines the formulation as a synergistic synbiotic, according to definitions provided by ISAPP (International Scientific Association for Probiotics and Prebiotics).
The second synbiotic is a combination of Bimuno GOS and Probi Digestis. The complementary mechansims of action of these two strains are backed by a combination of 340 scientific publications.
