Pharmalinea is launching a new range of private label supplements featuring liposomal delivery technology. The new liposomal micronutrients will be showcased alongside new taste options for the company’s hydration product.

The two new products include >Your< Lipo-Mag Orosticks, a liposomal magnesium, and >Your< Lipo-C Orosticks, a liposomal vitamin C.

Vernonika Pipan, head of scientific support at PharmaLinea, noted that liposomal supplements offer a more pleasant and efficient user experience, and few liposomal magnesium or vitamin C products on the market come in direct stick form.

Both products are available in an orosoluble powder and are based on PharmaLinea’s proprietary, branded liposomal ingredients, QlipoMg and QlipoC.

A common challenge with magnesium supplements is poor bioavailability and unwanted digestive side effects. The new liposomal magnesium formulation can address these challenges by enhancing absorption and reducing interaction with the digestive system. Similarly, many vitamin C products on the market are based on a standardized form of ascorbic acid, which can cause stomach irritation at higher dosages. QlipoC is based on the salts calcium ascorbate and sodium ascorbate, which are enveloped within the liposomal delivery technology to deliver effects faster and theoretically cause less irritation.

Although stick packs are convenient for consumers, they can be demanding to produce for formulators, said Denis Đalapa, Technical Director at PharmaLinea. When it comes to magnesium, especially chelates such as bisglycinate, taste and orodispersibility are key challenges.

New Hydration Flavors

PharmaLinea launched new flavors for its line of hydration sticks, >Your< Hydramin Sticks, with no added sugars. The new variety of options includes zesty lime, classic orange, refreshing blackcurrant, and sweet peach.

The product is based on AminoAbsorb, the company’s proprietary hydration technology, which utilizes amino acid cotransport pathways to enhance rapid absorption of water and electrolytes, enabling efficient hydration without sugar, which most products rely on.

Other Developments

PharmaLinea will also present the results of a clinical study on the company’s back pain product, which found significant self-reported reductions in radicular pain severity, along with improvements in standardized mobility tests, compared to placebo.

Additionally, the company has work underway for innovations including cognition, women’s health, and children’s development.
