Nuritas, a biotech company specializing in the discovery and clinical validation of bioactive peptides, will be exhibiting at IFT First to showcase its lineup of plant-based peptide hydrolysates and their applications in food systems for a variety of health benefits.
“Functional benefits do not have to be confined to capsules or powder blends. At IFT, we are showing how our peptide hydrolysates can move into yogurt, beverages, crisps, and bakery, all while maintaining bioavailability throughout processing,” said Nora Khaldi, PhD, CEO and founder of Nuritas.
While many bioactive ingredients are developed for supplement delivery, Nuritas’ peptide hydrolysates are specifically engineered for modern formats, undergoing testing across heat, time, temperature, and pH variables reflective of real-world manufacturing environments. This includes demonstrated heat stability in retort and ultra-high temperature beverage processing across pH ranges.
Nuritas will demonstrate the integration of its ingredients in frozen yogurt featuring PeptiStrong; ready-to-drink and ready-to-mix beverages; functional snacks that move beyond protein bars such as peptide crisps and puffs; and baked bars and breakfast formats.
Nuritas’ ingredients include PeptiStrong, formulated for muscle health, longevity, and recovery, and PeptiSleep, for sleep support and next-day wellness. The ingredients are Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) in the U.S. and have non-novel food designations in Canada and the EU, making them market-ready across 20 countries. The company’s ingredients are featured in 100 products globally.
