HTBA to Spotlight New Science on Bioactive Vitamin B12 Ingredient at Vitafoods

HealthTech BioActives (HTBA), an ingredient supplier specializing in citrus flavonoids and vitamin B12, will return to Vitafoods Europe to showcase new research on MecobalActive, a methylcobalamin ingredient, for cognition and physical performance.
Methylcobalamin is one of the activated forms of vitamin B12, and offers superior purity and bioavailability over competing vitamin B12 forms, according to the company.
On May 21, at 11:30 a.m. in the New Ingredients Theater (3G266), Teresa Pellicer, PhD, biotechnology manager at HTBA, will discuss the role vitamin B12 can play in overall wellness, and unveil new science demonstrating the benefits of MecobalActive over other forms of vitamin B12.
HTBA’s team will also highlight DiosVein, a diosmin ingredient produced through a patented, solvent-free green chemistry manufacturing process. The ingredient, derived from sweet oranges, is evidenced to support circulation and decrease vascular-related discomfort, according to the company. Cardiose, a sweet orange polyphenol extract, formulated to support active performance and cardiovascular health, will also be showcased.
